The MS Mega Challenge is one of Australia’s most popular and fastest growing fundraising events. Through team sports, the MS Mega Challenge raises vital funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis.
The MS 24 Hour Mega Swim in Fitzroy was founded in 2001 by Carol Cooke AM, Paralympian. Now in its 20th year, the program has expanded to 16 swims across ACT, VIC, NSW and TAS and includes other sports such as Squash, Racquetball and Badminton.
In 2020, additional time durations were introduced to the program, allowing for a 12-hour challenge. No matter your age or ability, anyone can take part in the MS Mega Challenge.
Throughout all these changes, the vision remains; bringing people together to raise much needed funds to support Australians living with multiple sclerosis.
Funds raised from MS Mega Challenge events contribute to the MS Go for Gold Scholarships, Financial Assistance Programs and providing services to directly benefit people living with multiple sclerosis.
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Thank you for your interest in running an MS Mega Challenge. This is an expression of interest form for venues, community groups, schools and individuals to provide the MS events team information about your proposed plan in hosting an event.
The MS Events Team provides support to community hosts through-out the planning phase of the event. In our experience depending on the size of the proposed event you may require up to 6 months to prepare and you will require an organising committee to support your activity.
For an event to be successful, it requires the full support of a working committee and have a local venue engaged to support the event through their membership.
