About the MS Mega Badminton 

MS Mega Badminton is supported by Altona Badminton Centre and Badminton Victoria

It's a fun, all abilities, team event with one goal: to play badminton for 24 hours! Teams can have up to 15 badminton participants of any ability with at least one player from each team on the court at all times.

Who Plays?

Anyone can join in the fun! You don't need to be a member of a badminton club, as the event attracts players of all abilities, some even playing in full costume!

How Does It Work?

Play is conducted in 13 minute blocks, with a 2 minute break before the next 13 minute block commences.

Games will be played up to 21 points (rally point scoring). The first player to reach 21 points or gain a 2 point lead thereafter wins the game.

At the conclusion of each 13 minute block, points for both teams must be recorded on the score sheet provided. There is no limit to how many games can be played in that time.

It is up to the Team Captain to establish the strategy and style of play for their team and set the team playing roster - participants can play for as little as thirteen minutes or up to two hours at a time.
