I'M TAKING THE CHALLENGE TO FIGHT MS!
Once again, its that time of year and my daughter (Georgia) and I will be taking part in the MS Mega Swim at Sydney Olympic Park in May. This year, I have been blessed by my old rugby mates to band together and we have formed the Engadine Sea Lions swim team.
Supporting this is a very personal thing for me as Georgia has Neuro-myelitis Optica (NMO). In layman terms it can be described as the ugly sister of MS. She is now 14 and was diagnosed with NMO when she was 9 years old. She is the strongest person I know and she inspires me every day to be a better person. Certainly with my own health challenges in the last year, her strength to me has been indescribable. This is why I do this event. For her and people like her living with MS.
If you are in a position to do so, we would love and appreciate your support and whilst I say that, I know many of you would already have charities that are close to your own hearts. Nothing is too great or too small and everyone in our team will be uplifted by your support.
If nothing else, thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you.
