HELP ME S-NAIL MY FUNDRAISING GOAL

In a shocking turn of events, I have been Animorphed into a sea snail and registered for a 24-hour swimathon. At my snail pace, I will be lucky to complete one lap in that time (two, if both donations and snack provision are generous).

Gastropod jokes aside (briefly), I’m taking on this challenge to help fight multiple sclerosis - a condition that affects more young people than any other chronic neurological illness, with an average age of diagnosis around 30. MS can strike anyone, at any time, and the symptoms vary hugely from person to person.

For many people living with MS, everyday life can suddenly slow down in ways no one expects. Things like walking, seeing clearly, getting out of bed, working, or living without pain can become difficult overnight. When that happens, your whole world can change.

That’s why this fundraiser matters. The funds raised through this swimathon help MS Plus deliver vital support services, from peer support groups that connect people who are newly diagnosed with others who genuinely understand, to employment services that help Aussies living with MS stay in the workforce and maintain independence.
